SAN DIEGO (Ticker) - Brandon Heath now stands alone atop the mountain.

Heath scored 25 points in San Diego State's 74-63 win over Loyola Marymount on Saturday night to become the all-time leading scorer in the Mountain West Conference.

A 6-4 senior guard, Heath has 1,790 career points. He broke the record of 1,782 previously set by New Mexico's Ruben Douglas in 1983.

"I feel good, I felt extremely good when the crowd gave me a standing ovation," Heath said. "That's always great. I'm up there with some of the greatest scorers to ever come through the conference, like Ruben Douglas.

"It wasn't anything I was worried about coming into the game today. The overall goal tonight was to win. As long as we keep winning, the individual accolades with come with it." Heath also extended his own school record by scoring in double figures for the 37th consecutive game.
