Challenger Films is accepting recommendations for high school and college basketball players to be featured on The Real Winning Edge television series for teens.

The Winning Edge is a reality show that features three real life high school and college students each week who have triumphed over hardships and challenges. Each of these young people is introduced by a celebrity, such as Jeff Gordon, John Smoltz, Matt Hasselbeck, Gail Devers, and Evander Holyfield. (Click on the link to see a Profile Composition of The Winning Edge Programs). They will be adding a pro basketball player and are tentatively scheduled to film Dwyane Wade this month. The purpose of the program is to provide good role models for teens through the latest high quality entertainment.

The series is in syndication and has recently run on Fox, WB and independent stations. More episodes are being produced with the goal of airing the series nationally in the fall of 2007. They have been in talks with Fox in New York. More information may be found at www.challengerfilms.org and www.realwinningedge.com

In order for a candidate to be selected for The Real Winning Edge, he or she must:
1. Have good moral character, including Christian faith
2. Be articulate and able to express himself or herself well
3. Have a story of overcoming or dealing successfully with some type of adversity
4. Be actively competing in basketball.

Please email Kathleen Watson at Challenger Films, kwatson@challengerfilms.org, if you have a recommendation for the series.
