WACO, Texas (Ticker) -- An operation isn't going to keep Baylor coach Scott Drew from missing a game.

Drew underwent an appendectomy on Tuesday afternoon but is expected to be on the bench Wednesday night when the Bears host eighth-ranked Kansas.

In his fourth season at Baylor, Drew has led the Bears to an 11-7 mark.

It is the first year he has had a full complement of scholarship players due to NCAA violations committed by former coach Dave Bliss.
