THE FAST BREAK which we refer to as our number one game is run differently from the conventional way.

We run a sideline break to avoid the congestion in the middle of the floor. We also want a passing break as opposed to using the dribble, so the sideline should have easier passes for us.

Personnel: The diagrams are numbered by spot rather than who plays the spot. For example, #1 is usually the point guard, but in these diagrams it could be any of our perimeter players.
Spot Number 1--the perimeter player who receives the outlet pass from the rebounder.
Spot Number 2--must be the point guard, shooting guard, or small forward.
Spot Number 3--can be anyone except people we will designate as non-ballhandlers.
Spot Number 4--can be anyone, preferably a big man.
Spot Number 5--will be the last player down the floor.
